PE is on a Thursday- please make sure that you bring your PE kit every week
Homework – Every Friday children will take home a new set of spellings to learn for a test the following Friday. Children should be reading at least once a week at home using books allocated on Bug Club. Each half term a new set of home learning tasks will be sent home for IPC and Science, these are to be completed in the home learning logs before the end of each half term.
Our IPC Topic this term is The Magic Toymaker.
Toys come in many shapes and sizes. They are made of different materials but all us to have fun with, to learn new skills and to exercise our bodies and our imagination. For our Entry Point we received a mysterious letter from the Magic Toymaker! He asked us to make our own toys out of recycled materials to help him in his workshop. In History we have looked at toys from the past and compared them to toys from the present.
Our Science Topic this term is Super Humans.
Your body is a bundle of bones, muscles, senses and nerves all connected together to make you a human. But do you know how these parts of your body work with your brain? Let’s find out. For our Entry Point we gave ourselves a body MOT. We tested our pulse, thought about healthy diets and how to keep our teeth clean. We have also looked at what the different parts of the body are called and compared them to other animals.
